The AD-3N was very similar to the two place AD-2Q EW variant. VMC-1 flew one AD-3N that they modified by adding an APA-17 Direction Finder to the ECM suite.
The AD-3N was a three-seat night attack version of the AD-3. Fifteen were built between September 1949 and May 1950.
